When we look at the instruments which already exist on the market, our Rüsch EndoGuide T seems to be
the one calling the tune at present.
Thanks to its unique design, which we have filed a patent for, the EndoGuide T has taken this prominent
position. With our EndoGuide T we can solve three kinds of problems which may arise during intubation:
- Tube exchanger
First of all, the EndoGuide T is a tube exchanger, which can be used like any traditional tube exchange
catheter to exchange tracheal tubes, bronchial tubes or tracheostomy tubes. It serves as a guiding splint,
thus making sure that the passage into the trachea remains unobstructed while the tube is being exchanged.
- Administration of oxygen & respiration
But there is more to it than just that. Thanks to the large lumen of the EndoGuide T and its newly developed connector system with
Luer-lock and 15 mm connector, the patient, who is often subjected to critical situations with regard to
oxygenisation, can be administered sufficient oxygen via insufflation or jet ventilation during the entire procedure.
In case of need as well as under very difficult conditions the patient can even receive intermittend
artificial respiration via the EndoGuide T, albeit under aggravating circumstances.
- Intubationsstylet
The third aspect which makes our EndoGuide T stand out from all the competing instruments, is the
stainless steel guidewire, which has been integrated into the tube wall. Thanks to this construction the
instrument can be preformed in a way that positively supports the intubation procedure in difficult circumstances,
for instance when it is hard to visualise the larynx. All the other instruments on the market so far
require the guidewire to be removed before oxygen can be applied through the lumen, or their armouring
needs a lot of space leaving only a very small lumen for the administration of gases.
Our EndoGuide T is available in three different versions and can thus be used in almost any situation.
