The new and innovative concept for tracheostomy
With the market launch of our new TracheoFix tracheostomy tubes the Rüsch brand is taking another step
in the direction of maintaining and further strengthening our market leadership in the tracheostomy sector.
Thorough revision of our present product concept, always taking into account the market requirements and patients' needs,
has led to the creation of a unique and competitive new range of tracheostomy tubes:
- Our TracheoFix tracheostomy tubes are now manufactured from dimensionally stable, thermosensitive transparent plastic,
thus greatly faciliating cleaning and inspection.
- A well thought-out system of inner cannulas and accessories renders the products universally applicable.
- The new fixing mechanism at the tube connector guarantees safe application of inner cannulas and accessories.
- Well aligned set components increase the safety for both user and the patient.
- Accessories such as phonation valves, cough cap or sealing cap can now be attached directly at the fixation flange of the tube.
The tube can thus be discreetly, yet effectively worn, which is especially important in the sensitive home care sector.
SoftMembrane - The new phonation valve
A completely novel manufacturing procedure has made it possible to come out with a new generation of phonation valves.
The new Rüsch phonation valve with its innovative SoftMembrane technology is an inherent part of some TracheoFix sets.
- An oxygen adapter can be attached directly above the valve membrane and oxygen can be administered through it without having
to use any additonal components. The valves enclosed in the sets are equipped with a bayonet coupling and can only be used with our TracheoFix tubes.

In addition, we can supply a valve with a 15 mm standard connector, to serve as a replacement for our TracheoFix phonation
valve in case it gets lost. It is then used together with either the 15 mm inner cannula or with any current
tracheostomy tube with 15 mm standard connector.
Packing
The TF sets are available as hospital version in boxes of 5 individually packed sterile sets each.
A home care version will presently be put on the market.
